Patients should eat 2-3 teaspoons of puree with every meal during this period. If no symptoms occur, the amount of puree can be gradually increased. As soon as a feeling of fullness occurs, patients should stop eating completely.

A single meal takes about 30 minutes. Here too, the food should be eaten very slowly. If meals are eaten quickly or contain fat, vomiting may occur. To avoid such problems, patients should follow the instructions. Patients can eat the following foods on the puree diet:

  • Vegetable puree
  • Fruit puree
  • Fat-free cottage cheese
  • Soft-boiled egg
  • Tender fish
  • Blanch chicken meat

Soft food diet At the end of the first month, patients can switch to normal foods. Patients should initially prefer low-fat and soft foods and then switch to foods with few grains. Even if the normal diet is changed to normal food, high-calorie foods and citrus fruits should be avoided. The citrus fruit group can be consumed after the doctor’s approval, but high-calorie foods are strictly and indefinitely prohibited.
